Dear Bob,
I must confess that I had no regret after humiliated defeat against Ireland neither I was sad. It was a game and better side won the match. I also must admit that I was in great shock after hearing an unexpected and tragic news of your sad demise. I had no words to express my feelings. I tried to control myself and got successful but last night when I was offering Isha prayers before going to bed and raised my hands for Dua after farz, I couldn’t control myself. Tears started flowing out of my eyes and that was the first time I felt that you were very closed to me;very dearer to many Pakistanis who are grateful for all the efforts you made to make a scattered team to a winning combination. I was surprised, I mean why was I feeling like that about a person who was stranger for me and his status was nothing but a “Pakistani Cricket Team Coach”. I realized that it was all your sincerest efforts for cricket team of my country but wait a minute, I shouldn’t have said “My Country”, it was your country as well because I know you have loved is a lot. You always felt good to be here. As you said to Junaid Jamshed in England that you wanted to die as a Pakistani, it seems that God has listened your wish and you have died as a Person who was serving Pakistanis as a Pakistani.

So we lost again [the series], no need to mention that it was an embarrassing experience.

Last night when I was watching pathetic performance by Pakistanis, I was just thinking that whether they should be blamed for such an offensive cricket tour or PCB? The reason I am asking this question that this was the last tour of Pakistan before World Cup which would be held in West Indies where wickets are entirely different than South African Wickets.

Pakistan had been performing very well in year 2005 and 2006 where they won series not in home grounds but abroad as well. This is the same Pakistani team who defeated against West Indies in West Indies. The same company defeated England in home ground and India in India. Do you find any common factor? If you ask me then I would definitely say the nature of pitches in Pakistan or South Asia and West Indies which is almost identical.

Were PCB schedule setters drunk at the time of setting schedule that they had NO idea about difference between South African and West Indies pitches? Maybe some moron chamcha official would have tried to make a funny or should I say Ignorant statement to justify the tour by saying that West Indians look like Africans [black] therefore it wouldn’t matter whether we practice in West Indies or South Africa.

Mohammad Yousuf who recently set lots of records and consider Richards his “guru” recently sang praises of Australian Captain Ricky Ponting on his amazing performance. Yousuf says:

Sometimes we struggle in parts of the world where wickets favour the bowlers, but that does not happen to him. He used to have a little bit of trouble in places like India or Sri Lanka, but he has shown in the last few years that he now plays very well there. He is very strong, mentally and physically.

He further says:

The best batsmen I have seen in my lifetime are Viv [Richards] and [Brian] Lara, and they are some of the best in history. I think Ricky is as good as any of them. I have never seen anything like him. I have seen Ponting in a lot of matches, and he is the best player in the world at the moment. He can beat any bowler.

So finally we lost the 3rd test by 5 wickets as well as the series by 2-1. Credit goes to Kallis and Prince who played wonderful 5th wicket partnership eased the victory for Proteas. Apart from Pakistani defeat, I must say that entire series was interesting and Pakistanis did fight back.
